The Macro Adoption Project aims to assist policymakers in developing and improving their policies, strategies and plans ****to encourage BIM adoption and accelerate the construction industry's digital transformation. We aim to do that by collecting data from 30+ world regions in collaboration with local institutions, industry associations, and community groups.
For each region, we will be running 3 concurrent studies targeted at policymakers (national authorities), educational institutions (universities), and construction organisations (designers, contractors, and facility owners). We will then collate, analyse, and publish the results in each data collection round (2 years) as free reports, open-access dashboards, and decision-support tools. In each additional round, we will compare and update the results, and add new insights. All these deliverables will be publicly available under an open Creative Commons license.
Over the next 2 years (2024 and 2025), we expect to publish 30 regional reports and 1 international report collating all results and lessons learned. We will also release a dynamic data dashboard continuously fed with new data and an interactive decision-support tool with input-driven recommendations.
